“NACCIMA FOUNDATION PLANTS SEEDS OF HOPE: 1 BILLION ECONOMIC TREES CAMPAIGN UNVEILED”

This ambitious project aims to boost the country’s green economy, combat climate change, and empower local communities through sustainable livelihoods.
Key Objectives:
– Environmental Sustainability: Planting 1 billion economic trees to enhance Nigeria’s ecosystem, reduce carbon footprint, and promote sustainable development.
– Economic Empowerment: Creating jobs and income opportunities for communities through tree planting, maintenance, and harvesting.
– Climate Change Mitigation: Contributing to global efforts to combat climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen .

Speaking at the launch,the President of NACCIMA/Chairmant of OPSN,
Engr.Jani Ibrahim,mni,OON,emphasized that:
“This campaign represents our commitment to climate action,
environmenta!sustainability,and wealth creation for future generations.
Planting economic trees will not only restore degraded land but also provide
jobs,food,and industrial raw materials,directly contributing to Nigeria’s $1
trillion economy vision.”
The campaign will engage youth,women,MSMEs,and local communities,
while partnering with relevant Ministries,Departments,and Agencies,
development partners,and the private sector.The campaign will also
complement the Great Green wall initiative.
The NACCIMA Foundation calls on all Nigerians,especially the private sector
and civil society,to join hands in this national effort to create a greener,
wealthier,and more sustainable future.
