TRUMP’S UKRAINE DEAL: KEY POINTS

GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–President Donald Trump has given Ukraine an ultimatum to accept his 28-point peace plan, sparking controversy and concern among European leaders.
US President Donald Trump’s 28-point peace plan for Ukraine includes:
– Territorial Concessions : Ukraine would cede Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk to Russia, and withdraw from parts of Donetsk, making it a neutral demilitarized buffer zone.
– Military Limits : Ukraine’s military would be capped at 600,000 personnel, and it would renounce NATO membership.
– Security Guarantees : The US and Europe would provide security guarantees, with a “decisive coordinated military response” in case of Russian invasion.
– Economic Support : $100 billion in frozen Russian assets would be invested in Ukraine’s reconstruction, and Russia would regain its seat in the G8.
– Elections : Ukraine would hold national elections within 100 days.
– Amnesty : All parties would receive full amnesty for actions during the war

The plan has sparked controversy, with some viewing it as a capitulation to Russia. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed concerns, saying it would force Ukraine to choose between dignity and a key partner .
In the Fox News interview on Friday, Trump said that Putin is “not looking for more war” and is “taking punishment,” despite the plan appearing to offer major concessions to Russia.
Zelensky said that he would work around the clock to find a path forward on the plan, while saying he would not betray his country.
“I will present arguments, I will persuade, I will offer alternatives, but we will definitely not give the enemy any reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace, that it is disrupting the process, and that Ukraine is not ready for diplomacy,” Zelensky continued.
