GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–THE Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out successful airstrikes against terrorist targets in Borno State, destroying watercraft and neutralising several fighters. Here are the key details:
– Airstrikes Target Terrorist Hideouts : The NAF conducted coordinated night airstrikes on January 18 in the riverine areas of Kukawa Local Government Area, targeting terrorist hideouts around Malimbe-Masaram Island axis and parts of Northern Tumbuns.
– “Post-strike assessment showed the terrorists withdrawing in disarray, with indications that they suspected their movements had been compromised.”
– Precision-Guided Munitions Used : The airstrikes were carried out using precision-guided munitions to limit collateral damage, destroying boats used for mobility and logistics across Lake Chad waterways.
