NLNG APPOINTS ADELEYE FALADE AS NEW MD/CEO, MSHELBILA BOWS OUT FOR GLOBAL GAS ROLE

GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) has named Engr. Adeleye Falade as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 2026, succeeding Philip Mshelbila who exits after four years of “transformative leadership”.

– New Leadership Appointment : Falade comes from Brunei LNG where he is current MD/CEO. He’ll lead NLNG amid focus on sustainability, diversification, emissions reduction.
– Mshelbila’s Departure : Exits Dec 31, 2025 for Secretary-General role at Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), Doha, Qatar.
– Achievements Under Mshelbila :
– Navigated COVID-19 impacts, floods, vandalism, force majeure gas supply issues, Russia-Ukraine war effects.
– Signed 6 long-term Gas Supply Agreements (Aug 2025) for 1,290 mmscfd feed gas with third-party suppliers – “historic milestone”.
– Pushed sustainability, operational diversification, emissions cuts, safety values.
– Led business model transformation for long-term value creation.
