OMOBIRIN IBADANPONBELE: ‘OUR INDUCTION INTO CENTRAL COUNCIL OF IBADAN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE MORE
The Omo’binrin Ibadan Ponbele Club,says its recent induction into the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes,will enable its service to the women in Ibadan land.
President of the Club,Erelu Lateefat Jayeoba,who disclosed this at its induction ceremony in Ibadan,expressed excitement over the development,saying her association would not rest on its oars in elevating the status of women of Ibadan.
Expressing her joy over the admission of the club into the Ibadan elite association,Erelu Jaiyeoba,said the vision of the club has continued to move it along salutary path that is ingrained in service,integrity and value to female folks in Ibadan.
She said the quality of the club’s membership speaks volume of its pursuant for excellence and the determination to deliberately make imprints in the society.
This,she said,explains the huge impacts the club has made in Ibadan and Oyo state since it came alive few years ago.
She implored her members to redouble and rededicate their strength to impacting the lives of women with a view to enabling the female folks in Ibadan play significant roles in the growth of Oyo state.
She commended the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes,for finding her club worthy to be inducted into the elite association,adding that
Omo’binrin Ibadan Ponbele Club,would be a worthy ambassaodor of the latter.
She also described the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes as a progressive association which has over the years not only endreared itself into the heart of Ibadan indigenes through purposeful leadership,but also serve as rallying point for the sons and daughters of Ibadan at home and in diaspora.
She added:”On behalf of my members,I appreciate the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes for inducting us into its folds.It feels good and fulfilling for us to be brought into the fold that will provide more vehicle for us to drive our aims and objectives for the women of Ibadan.
“I appreciate this gesture and promise that
Omo’binrin Ibadan Ponbele Club will abide by the rules and indeed play huge impacts which align with the vision Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes.Our members have the pedigree and the statute to make the desired change”.
GreatTribuneNews reports that Ajorosun Female Club was inducted into the elite association alongside Omo’binrin Ibadan Ponbele Club .
Earlier in his address, President-General of
the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes,Barrister Ajewole Adeniyi,congratulated the club on its induction into the elite association.
According to him,the association invited Omo’binrin Ibadan Ponbele Club into its fold having fulfilled the conditions necessary to be members of the association and to serve as good avenue to connect Ibadan sons and daughters.
He implored the association to always put the interest of Ibadan land on the front burner.
