The traditional ruler said the long-awaited road projects would not only ease the movement of people and goods but also open up the area for increased investment, agricultural development and tourism, while enhancing the quality of life of residents.

The projects approved by the Federal Executive Council, as announced by the Minister of Works, include:
N276 billion for the dualisation of the Oyo–Ogbomoso–Ilorin Road.
N265 billion for the reconstruction of the Iseyin–Eruwa–Agbesi Road linking Oyo and Kwara states.
and N110 billion for the reconstruction of the Ogbomoso–Oko–Illupu Road connecting Oyo and Osun states.
