– Circumstances of Death:Empty bottles of alcohol were reportedly found beside the bed where Jimtop’s body lay, sparking speculation about the events leading up to her death.
– Boyfriend on the Run: Following the discovery, the boyfriend, Emmanuel Kefas, and other tenants allegedly abandoned the house, leaving behind a trail of questions and uncertainty.
– Dramatic Twist:In a shocking turn of events, a search for Kefas, the prime suspect, led to the discovery of his own lifeless body in the Tudiri community, adding another layer of mystery to the case.

The spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command, James Lashen, confirmed the discovery of a body with a Tecno Android phone next to it.
Upon checking the phone, investigators found a photograph of the deceased with the late Comfort Jimtop, suggesting they were in a romantic relationship.
Lashen stated, “When our men arrived at the residence, nobody was found. The boyfriend and other tenants had abandoned the house.”
He added that the police are still working to determine whether Kefas’s death was the result of a suicide, homicide, or an accident.
