“NAVIGATING THE AI-DRIVEN FUTURE OF WORK: LAWAN 2025 CONFERENCE TO CHART A NEW COURSE”

GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–THE Labour Writers Association of Nigeria (LAWAN) is set to host its annual conference on October 10th, 2025, at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Jericho, Ibadan. This year’s event will focus on the future of work in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring the opportunities and challenges that come with this technological shift.
In a press release signed by LAWAN Chairman,Comrade Toba Agboola and the Secretary,Comrade Adenike Ajiboye, the conference with the theme:
“Future of Work in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: A Wake-Up Call for Stakeholders”
According to the chairman, the event will bring together technocrats and speakers from different sectors of the economy.
He further stated that, the speakers will be discussing different topics such as :
Key Objectives:
– Securing Mutual Accountability: Developing a clear plan for successful mutual accountability and investment plans to drive Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
– Technology Innovations: Exploring the role of AI in shaping the future of work and its impact on workers’ welfare and job security.
– Decent Workplace: Promoting decent workplaces and sustainable job creation in the face of AI-driven technological changes.
– Adoption of AI: Discussing the adoption of AI as a means of sustainable job creation and economic growth
Expected Outcomes:
The conference aims to bring together stakeholders to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices on navigating the future of work in the era of AI. The expected outcomes include:

Expected at the event include the President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero,Trade Union Congress(TUC) President, Comrade Festus Osifo, Managing Director, NSITF Mr Oluwaseun Faleye, Director General PENCOM Ms Omolola Oloworaran among others .
The conference will be chaired by the General Secretary of NASU, Comrade Peters Adeyemi.
