2. Enoghase Died From Breathing Complications After Emergency Hospitalization in Lagos
_”Enoghase, a versatile journalist and a member of LAWAN, reportedly developed breathing complications and was rushed to a hospital in the Ijaiye-Ogba area of Lagos, where he later passed on.”
During the visit to his residence, members of LAWAN prayed with his widow and children and encouraged them to take solace in the impactful life he lived.
They urged the family not to be consumed by grief, but to remain thankful to God for the years they shared with him.
The association described the late journalist as a loving and caring husband, devoted father and accomplished professional whose contributions to journalism and the labour movement would continue to be remembered.
Colleagues of the late Enoghase from Daily Independent Newspaper also joined family members in songs of worship and prayers, offering words of comfort and support to the bereaved family.
Until his passing, Comrade Sylvester Enoghase was the Business Editor and Labour Editor of Daily Independent Newspaper.
Widely respected for his versatility, dedication and professionalism, he was regarded as a mentor and bridge-builder among journalists.
Tributes have continued to pour in from friends, colleagues and associates, many of whom remembered him as a humble and committed journalist whose life was marked by integrity, compassion, selflessness and service to humanity.
Details of his funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
