Dr. David Oluwafemi Okunlola, Deputy Governorship Candidate under the umbrella of APC in Oyo State at the just concluded general elections felicitates with Muslims in the state and Nigeria at large on the successful conclusion of a month – long fasting period 1444/2023 Ramadan.
In his goodwill message, he appealed to Muslims to intensify prayers for peace and unity of the country, especially at this remarkable period when new leadership was about to take over the administration of the country.

rejoice with Muslims across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of this year’s Ramadan.
He noted that Ramadan fast is a sacred spiritual obligation as one of the five pillars of Islam.
He urged them to use the period of the celebration to continue to reflect on the purpose and lessons of the Ramadan, which include love, charity, endurance, tolerance and sacrifice, in adherence to the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) for spiritual rejuvenation and sustainable national growth and development.
Reflecting on the
significance of the just concluded Ramadan fasting, Dr. Oluwafemi said Muslims should internalize the lessons and good habits that usually come with religious practice.
He called on Muslims across the country to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to supplicate for the country, noting that Nigeria is the only country we can call ours. He equally urged Muslims to continue to be their brother’s keepers as enjoined by the Almighty Allah through the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In conclusion, he beseeched Almighty God to give everyone the grace to witness many more of Eid-el Fitr celebration in good health and abundant favour of Almighty Allah.
